Hardwork and Determination Trigger Success

Hardwork and  fortitude are perceived by some people as vanguard of success in life. Others argue that it actually depends on some other determinants such as wealth or physical outlook. I strongly support the latter opinions a some good reasons.

To be successful in life, it is undisputable that one has to work for it. However, there's no easy way to success, which makes it more taskful and difficult to achieve. There would  of course, be challenges and some impediments that .at tend to hamper one's goals, but it takes deter.k action, grit and strength _ it takes fortitude and resolve for one to overcome such hitch. Taking a cursory look at an ex_ president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, who found himself entangled in difficult starts while growing up. He once recounted how he would go to school with worn _ out shoes  and severely patched, tattered uniforms on several occasions. Of course, he wasn't born with silver spoon, so he had to pass through humiliations and demeaning situations while growing up. Miraculously, owing to his relentless, unflinching to succeed, coupled with his doggedness and perseverance, he remained undaunted until he contrived to achieve a resounding success in the end by becoming the Nigerian President.

On the other hand, some people could actually succeed in life based on their affluence or facial looks and physique. But it is beyond doubts that such success does not last. It comes momentarily and dissipates rapidly.  While personal appearance and wealth might determine success  though to a limited extent, I strongly hold the belief that hardworking and determination are the major determinants of success.

If people think they could have their way on life because of their wealth, stunning looks or attractive figures, what happens when these values are not there anymore?
