Health Diet and Adequate Exercise for Improving Health
In recent times, a relatively fair number of people neglect the consumption of wholesome meals and even the act of keeping themselves physically fit for some reasons, of which busy/tight schedule could be one of them. For example, in Lagos, Nigeria, a buzzing city in the Western part of the country, which is comprised of a quite large number of inhabitants, who go through struggles, hurdles and hustles each day while transporting themselves to their diverse work places, working _ class people, and even small business owners usually need to stay awake very early in the morning so as to beat the traffic snarl, and even stay out late at night, stuck in the traffic jam. In this situation, people barely have enough time for themselves on business (working) days. Therefore, they do not even have the time for exercises. The only thing they would always love to do at their leisure is 'take a nap' or 'sleep' and 'snooze'. In the same manner, they hardly have the time to make themselves healthy, nutritious meals; hence, are subjected to all sorts of 'junks' that are detrimental to their health.
This situation is a negative one, as it poses drastical effects on people's health and well _being. As a result of excessive fast food and lack of exercise, people may begin to over weigh. However, the good news is that a few actions could be taken in order to surmount this problem. Firstly, I think it is more advisable for people, especially working_class people, to cultivate the habit of refrigerating food for later consumption. A wide variety of meals should be prepared by people at their leisure or on weekends, and kept in the refrigerator for preservation. Such food will later be warmed in the microwave after been thawed. This would help people lessen their intake of meals that are not good for their health. In addition, people should engage in different activities that would enhance their physical and mental fitness at the weekends. For instance, they could have a walk or jog around the neighbourhood with their families for fun. Some could even go to the gym for exercise, or visit recreational centres or arenas to participate in sporting activities.
In conclusion, I believe all these aforementioned would help improve people's health. If people are cognizant of the importance of exercises and healthy diet, and take actions towards these, their physical and emotional health would be enhanced to a considerable extent.
