The Need for the Survival of Wildlife in the Society

In the last few decades, the population of wild animals and plants has significantly dropped across the globe. There could be multitudes of reasons for this bane which has had a deleterious effect on man and his society. However, there are probable ways to resolve this problem.

From my perspective, I think the gradual loss of wildlife and plants in our societies in recent times is greatly facilitated by man, the reason being that man engages in a lot of activities that tend to hamper their (plants and animals) survival in his everyday life. A good example is the extermination of animals for scientific experiments, bush burning, the hunt of animals for sports, et cetera.

However, animals and plants both play a crucial role in the lives of man. They are a major source of food products for him; thereby serving as a source of great income for him. The importance of wildlife on the earth cannot be overemphasized; hence, there is an ultimate need for man to restrain himself from activities that will grossly affect their existence and survival.

I would suggest that people refrain as much as possible from the act of burning bushes and trees as this,  undoubtedly, tends to trigger the loss of nutrients in the soil. Furthermore, governments should abrogate the illegal purchase of animal parts in all parts of the globe. Also, scientists should deter from extravagant use of animals for experiments. In addition, the use of toxic substances that may be harmful to the soil should be avoided whilst wiping out farm pests. Lastly, people should be educated more on the importance of these species, and encouraged to learn to live sustainably with them.

Like in the recent decades, if people continue to threaten the survival of wildlife, it might eventually culminate in a global economic recession in a few decades to come. In other to avert this impending disaster, all should try their best possible to support and promote the  conservation of wildlife.
